Featuring Digital Quiet Motor Technology™, the CSM‑QMTDC‑163‑1‑SG motor provides quiet, yet robust operation of Crestron® roller shade systems.¹ Fully integrated electronics eliminate the need for bulky add‑on interface modules, allowing for a clean, streamlined installation. The CSM‑QMTDC‑163‑1‑SG is capable of controlling shades that are 25.44 to 96 in. (646 to 2,439 mm) wide, depending on fabric, hardware configuration, and shade height.

The CSM‑QMTDC‑163‑1‑SG integrates seamlessly with a Crestron control system, allowing it to be operated alone or as part of a group using keypads, wireless remotes, touch screens, and mobile devices.

Long-life Battery Operation
Power is supplied to the QMT® shade motor via 8 D cell batteries (not supplied). The batteries are stored in an
external battery compartment that is mounted in the fascia of QMT3 Series Architectural shade hardware. When
mounting with QMT3 Series Décor shade hardware, the battery compartment can be hidden behind the roller shade fabric, valance, or drapes, and can be color coordinated to the bracket hardware.

Integrated Controls
Setup controls are included on the CSM‑QMTDC‑163‑1‑SG to facilitate setup, testing, and adjustment of shade limits.

Digital Quiet Motor Technology
Quiet Motor Technology allows for nearly inaudible operation while providing precise control of shade movement. Digital QMT® shade motors also keep track of the shade's position which allows the shade to be programmatically adjusted to the user's desired position.

SG Wireless Communication
SG wireless communication provides 2-way RF communications to the CSM‑QMTDC‑163‑1‑SG without the need for physical control wiring. The CSM‑QMTDC‑163‑1‑SG has a range of approximately 230 ft (70 m) indoors.

The CSM‑QMTDC‑163‑1‑SG communicates with a Crestron control system through an SG compatible wireless gateway (CEN-GW1, sold separately). The CEN-GW1 supports up to 100 infiNET EX devices, 10 ER devices, and 50 SG devices.

QMT®3 Series Architectural or Décor Mounting Hardware
Designed for use with Crestron® QMT®3 Series Architectural (CSS-ARCH3) or QMT3 Series Décor (CSS-DECOR3) mounting hardware. QMT3 series mounting hardware is a compact mounting system that allows a Crestron shade to be mounted on a wall, ceiling, or window jamb.

The CSA-ARCH3 fascia for battery-operated shades includes an integrated battery holder that neatly stores the battery compartment. The battery holder swings open to provide easy access for battery replacement.

Simple Mounting
TThe CSM‑QMTDC‑163‑1‑SG snaps into the mounting bracket. The Quick Release button makes installation and removal without any special tools quick and easy.
