The DigitalMedia™ 24-Port Keystone Patch Panel (DM-RPP-K24) provides an enterprise-grade network routing solution that is designed in accordance with EIA/TIA specifications for use as part of a complete DM®, HDBaseT®, or Ethernet infrastructure. It can be populated with up to 24 DigitalMedia Ultra Keystone RJ45 Jacks (model DM-CONN-ULTRA-RECP [1]), which provide front-facing RJ45 patch ports with rear-facing termination points for Crestron DM 8G® and DM Ultra Cable (or third-party CAT5e, CAT6, and CAT6a cabling). The complete solution enables the routing of data and AV signals by simply patching any two RJ45 jacks together using a DigitalMedia Ultra Patch Cable (model DM-CBL-ULTRA-PC [1]).
The DM-RPP-K24 is an empty patch panel frame with 24 keystone module positions. Each position accommodates a single DigitalMedia Ultra Keystone RJ45 Jack, which simply snaps into place without any tools. Integrated grounding tabs engage firmly with the jack’s solid metal housing to ensure proper shielding against outside interference. Individual cable tie points at the rear of the patch panel provide secure strain relief for each cable using cable ties (provided). A ground lug terminal is also included, which can be positioned on the rear at the left or right end.
The DM-RPP-K24 is also compatible with most third-party keystone modules, allowing full customization using a variety of connector types to suit any application. It occupies a single rack space when installed in a 19 inch data center rack or AV equipment rack. Front panel label strips allow for the designation of each patch port using paper or standard 1/2 inch (12 mm) tape labels.
