The Crestron® HR‑150‑B is a customizable wireless controller designed for use in home theaters, bedrooms, hotel rooms, boardrooms, and many other applications. Ruggedized for durability and easy-grip housing, the HR‑150‑B offers comfort and ergonomics for hours of one‑handed use. Backlit, soft‑feel buttons provide positive tactile response and clear visibility under all lighting conditions. The HR‑150‑B provides 50 individual buttons, eight of which are user‑assignable for source and room selection, lighting and shade control, and other special functions. High‑powered infiNET EX® wireless performance assures dependable RF connectivity throughout any‑sized home or commercial facility.1

Backlit Tactile Buttons
Backlit tactile buttons provide access to everything needed to watch TV, listen to music, or navigate on‑screen menus. Each button is labeled for easy operation. Button backlighting affords excellent legibility in darkened rooms. Each button on the HR‑150‑B is fully programmable to deliver precise and predictable behavior, whether simply adjusting audio volume and changing channels, controlling a DVR or DVD player, navigating onscreen setup menus, or operating a pan/tilt camera.2

User-Assignable Buttons
The HR-150-B provides an area at the top of the remote for adding user-assignable buttons. 100 prelabeled button caps are included with the remote, allowing any of the eight button positions to be designated for AV source selection, room selection, lighting control, shade and drapery control, and other functions. Custom-engraved button caps are also available separately (HR-BTN-B_ENGRAVED). Five different cover plates are included to enable various button configurations (0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 buttons).

NOTE: Only the 8 button positions at the top of the remote are user-assignable using prelabeled and/or engravable button caps. The labeling of the other 42 fixed buttons cannot be changed.

infiNET EX Wireless Technology
Ultra-reliable infiNET EX® wireless technology provides steadfast 2‑way RF communications throughout a residential or commercial structure. The HR‑150‑B communicates with a Crestron control system via an infiNET EX wireless gateway, and can function as part of a complete network of wireless keypads, lighting dimmers, motorized shades, thermostats, door locks, sensors, and other devices. The wireless range for the HR‑150‑B is 75 ft (23 m) indoors, which can be extended using one or more infiNET EX expanders (CLW‑EXPEX‑GD‑W‑T, sold separately).1

Long Battery Life
Under typical usage, the HR‑150‑B can operate for over a year on a set of four AAA alkaline batteries (included). The HR‑150‑B can be configured to report its battery level and send a low‑battery warning to a mobile phone or a computer, a Crestron touch screen, or a central help desk, allowing the batteries to be replaced before they fail.

Security Monitoring
The HR‑150‑B regularly reports to a connected control system, allowing an alert message to be sent if the remote goes offline.

Third-Party Mounting Solution
The HR‑150‑B is compatible with Wall‑Smart® retrofit flush mount products via a partnership with Crestron.

  1. The HR‑150‑B requires an infiNET EX gateway (CEN‑GWEXER or MC4, sold separately). Crestron infiNET EX wireless technology employs a mesh network topology so each EX device on the network acts as a routing node, which propagates the signals it receives on to other EX devices within range. This effectively extends the total range of the network and provides multiple redundant signal paths for extra reliability. A maximum of six hops across routing nodes is allowed, although a maximum of three is recommended. Only AC‑powered EX devices operate as routing nodes. The HR‑150‑B and other battery‑powered EX devices only operate as leaf nodes, and thus do not propagate signals or extend range. If needed, up to five dedicated infiNET EX expanders (CLW‑EXPEX‑GD‑W‑T, sold separately) may be deployed as supplemental routing nodes to fill any gaps in coverage. Up to 100 infiNET EX devices are permitted per gateway, although best practices suggest a limit of 50. Refer to Installation and Setup of Crestron RF Products, Best Practices for additional guidelines.
  2. The HR‑150‑B includes 49 buttons that are programmable, and one non‑programmable button for turning on the backlight.
