Provides the control system link for a complete wireless network of Crestron® infiNET™ devices.
The C2N-MNETGW is a 2-way RF gateway/transceiver designed to enable communications and management for a complete infiNET™ wireless network of dimmers, keypads, and other devices. The C2N-MNETGW links the infiNET network to a Crestron® control system via Cresnet®.
infiNET™
Crestron infiNET wireless technology provides reliable 2-way communications throughout a residential or commercial structure without the need for physical control wiring. Employing a 2.4 GHz mesh network topology, each infiNET device on the network functions as an expander, passing command signals through to every other device within range (approximately 150 feet or 46 meters indoors), ensuring that every command reaches its intended destination without disruption. Each infiNET device that is added to the network effectively increases the range and stability of the entire network by providing multiple redundant signal paths.[1]
Easy Setup
Setting up a complete infiNET network is simple, utilizing dynamic discovery to locate and acquire each RF device automatically. At all times, the C2N-MNETGW monitors each device on the network, ignoring any other 2.4 GHz signals, and reconfiguring the entire network automatically in response to new sources of interference and other changes in RF conditions.
Up to 30 infiNET dimmers, switches, keypads, and other devices can be linked to a control system via a single C2N-MNETGW gateway. Additional gateways may be installed to support more devices, with up to 16 gateways possible in a complete system (RF conditions allowing). Wireless expanders (model C2N-MNETRPT[2]) may be added wherever needed to extend the network by filling in gaps between devices.

If you were to walk up to this large, traditional Westchester County, NY home, you'd have no idea how "big and bad" the entertainment systems within really are. The detailed, comfortable decor offers little clue that behind the scenes is a powerful Crestron whole-house audio and video system. Equipped with twenty-two flatscreen TVs and a stunning 3D home theater, this home really packs entertainment punch. There's also a Crestron lighting system, fourteen zones of heating and air conditioning with remote sensors and hidden thermostats, and a security system that includes eight television cameras. The whole home solution from Crestron ties all of the technology together so entertainment can be managed, controlled and enjoyed from anywhere in the home, including the bedroom, kitchen, and family room.
The New York Palace Hotel Case Studies
Nearly 100 years separate three phases of construction at The New York Palace in New York City. The original mansion, built by railroad tycoon Henry Villard in 1882, still stands today as part of this timeless property. But pass through the elegant courtyard and up the grand staircase and you find yourself in a 55-story black tower added to the hotel by Harry and Leona Helmsley in 1981. The Tower rooms have played host to celebrity and royalty alike for over 30 years, but after three decades, the hotel began to show its age. Thus when Northwood Hospitality purchased the hotel last year, the owners initiated a third phase of renovation, together with a technology upgrade, that began with the 167 rooms that make up the top 14 floors of the Tower. Called in to assist with the upgrade, building technology integrator Bill Lally of Mode:Green knew immediately that a Crestron 3-series Control System would be the solution for the rooms. Crestron InfiNET EX wireless protocol allows multiple wireless devices to be connected and managed reliably, even in the most extreme RF environments. Through the gateway, the system controls the room climate, door locks, window shades, audio and lighting.
